Chassis to fit the Series 3 vehicle. Built as a production chassis this is a direct swap for your original.
The chassis has the 1 Ton twin height suspension mounts and the factory modification to allow prop shaft clearance when riding on the raised position. Fitted with oil cooler mounts, removable gear box cross member and a tie rod bracket. This was used to stop the engine from disappearing into the radiator when throwing the vehicle from a Hercules transport plane – which comes in very useful when dropping in at your local supermarket for some Asparagus!
The chassis comes galvanized as standard, with chassis bushes fitted, all holes are drilled and tapped UNF after galvanizing.
